Logitech K740 Keyboard Review and Manual Setup
Logitech K740 Software Update, Drivers, Manual Setup and Review – Although the appearance is not striking, all aspects of the Logitech K740 keyboard are undoubted. K740, also known as an illuminated keyboard, is one of the slimmest commercially available keyboards that has been growing in the market.
With an ultra-thin design, coupled with a clean minimalist aesthetic, there is no reason why this keyboard cannot visually appeal to every modern computer user. Using laser-engraved backlit buttons and Logitech’s “PerfectStroke” lock system, this keyboard provides an excellent balance between good shape and fantastic comfort.
With features intended for users looking for a backlit typing experience, the K740 also shares features and shapes similar to siblings of the Logitech notebook keyboard. According to Logitech, the PerfectStoke lock system offers “a comfortable, smooth and quiet typing experience.
The backlight keyboard offers 4 brightness settings (0%, 25%, 50% and 100%). Although most buttons light up fairly evenly, the Shift and Enter keys are lacking in light. Although this does not affect the usefulness of the keyboard in any way, it would be nice if you see the keys that light properly throughout the keyboard.
Thin and Superb
Logitech K740 Keyboard is not designed as an ergonomic keyboard but still provides a pleasant and comfortable typing experience. The keyboard is very responsive, offers instantaneous returns, and media control offers a selection of functions that can be adjusted through the SetPoint Logitech software. Media controls include home, e-mail, open web pages, messenger, flip documents, gadgets, calculators, eject drives, media players, volume control, and keyboard brightness.
Because of its skinny design, the palm rest offers limited support for your wrist and is relatively shorter than the average palm rest found on most other keyboards. But that does not reduce the sense of comfort, and the palm rest is still enjoyable to use. Another slightly awkward feature is the raised buttons in the bottom row of the keyboard. This is the same feature found on notebook keyboards, but from the notebook’s point of view, this feature feels a little heavy and strange.
Most experienced users will mention how a tilted keyboard can provide additional comfort. Unlike the Notebook Keyboard, the K740 provides a flip-down riser that offers better wrist support for some people with different hand sizes. For the price, Logitech sells the K740 Illuminated Keyboard for around $ 79, which you can buy directly from the Logitech website or other market places.
